Marriage Ready
An 8-Week Premarital Counseling Program
Premarital Counseling
You’ve probably spent a lot of time thinking about the wedding day; the venue, the guest list, the dress, the suit, the details. But what about the marriage that comes after it?
Marriage Ready is an 8-week premarital counseling program designed to help you slow down,
have the conversations that matter, and feel more prepared for the life you’re building together.
Over eight weeks, we’ll talk through things like communication, conflict,
money, family, intimacy, expectations, faith, and connection.
All of this in a space that is supportive, practical, and centered around the two of you.
So, what can we expect?
Each week, we’ll focus on a different part of your relationship and the marriage you’re preparing to build.
You’ll have some guided reading from Honey, We Need to Talk by Dr. David Clarke, along with workbook exercises and conversation prompts to help you reflect both individually and together. We may talk through places where you’re already on the same page, areas where you see things differently, patterns that tend to show up between you, or topics you’ve simply never had a reason to talk about before.
I’ll also pull from Gottman Method techniques throughout our work together to help you strengthen connection, communicate more clearly, understand conflict patterns, and learn how to repair and reconnect when things feel off. The goal isn’t for you to leave every session agreeing on everything.
The goal is for you to leave knowing each other better and feeling more confident in how you’ll handle life together.

Get to Know Karli
Hi, I’m Karli! I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate, and my passion is helping people create meaningful change in their lives and relationships.
I approach therapy through a relational/systemic lens, which means I’m interested in the whole story. The experiences you each bring with you, the patterns you’ve created together, and the things that have shaped the way you connect, communicate, and understand one another.
Narrative Therapy is also at the heart of my work. I believe the stories we carry have a powerful influence on how we see ourselves and our relationships, and I love helping couples become more intentional about the story they want to create together.
In my work with couples, I also pull from Gottman Method techniques to provide practical tools for strengthening friendship, improving communication, working through conflict, and staying connected. My hope for our time together is that you both feel seen, respected, and comfortable enough to have the honest conversations that will help you better understand one another.
All while also feeling encouraged and excited about the marriage you’re building.
