Caroline Omar, LMSW
Hi there, I’m Caroline Omar! I work with children, teens, families, and postpartum mothers— specializing in adoption and foster care, ADHD, neurodivergence, and trauma. I support families in building connection and communication, and I help postpartum mothers navigate the emotional and practical challenges of early parenthood. As both a clinician and a mom of a neurodivergent child, I understand how important support and connection are on the parenting journey.
I practice through a trauma-informed lens and take a nervous system–based approach, helping clients understand how stress, emotions, and experiences show up in the body and how to support our holistic system. I have training in play therapy, sand tray, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
With children, I use play to create a safe and regulating space where they can express emotions, practice calming strategies, and build coping skills. With teens, I take a more guided approach—helping them process challenges, manage emotions, and practice mindfulness. I also work closely with families to strengthen relationships, foster understanding, and build resilience. My goal is to provide a safe, empowering, and attuned space—a welcoming space for all—where children, families and individuals feel supported to grow.
I also have an undergraduate background in hospitality, which fuels my passion for creating spaces where people feel cared for and connected. Outside the therapy room, you’ll often find me chasing my two boys around Houston playgrounds with a large Diet Coke in hand, baking my latest Pinterest find, strolling through Trader Joe’s flower and snack section, or enjoying long morning walks listening to Emily P. Freeman.
