Candice Reyes, Counseling Intern

Candice Reyes, Counseling Intern

Hi there! I’m currently completing my internship as part of my Master’s in Clinical Social Work program at Liberty University.

As the founder and Executive Director of Her Well Center, a nonprofit that supports survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, I bring a trauma-informed, advocacy-centered approach to counseling.

My collaborative style empowers clients to identify meaningful goals and take brave steps toward healing. I believe emotions, even the uncomfortable ones, carry important messages. When ignored, they can build into stress, anxiety, depression, or PTSD. Through compassionate guidance and direct support, I help clients recognize and process these emotions, regain their hope, and reclaim their voice.
Trauma doesn’t just affect one person, it touches everyone within its radius. That’s why I work with teens, adults, couples, and families to support both individual healing and relational restoration. I also utilize evidence-based models that promote secure, healthy connections and help clients feel seen, heard, and confident in pursuing their goals.

Outside of The Well, I enjoy time with my husband and our three amazing adult children (two currently in college), along with our playful sheepadoodle. Whether traveling the world or curled up binge-watching a great Netflix series, my family values connection, adventure, and laughter.
